Movie Studio Leverages Facebook and Group Ticketing App from 8thBridge to Launch Movie Promotion with Gilt Groupe, SpaFinder.com and 7 For All Mankind.
MINNEAPOLIS – September 28, 2011 – Twentieth Century Fox’s upcoming release, What’s Your Number, is leveraging Facebook to launch their Ladies’ Night campaign to make it easier for women to plan a movie night out together. The movie stars Anna Faris as Ally Darling, who after reading a magazine article that leads her to believe she’s going to be forever alone, begins a wild search for the best “ex” of her life. The studio is using Facebook to help women plan their night out and purchase the tickets directly on the social network site.
The campaign includes a Facebook fan page where fans can purchase tickets and a Facebook event page where people can RSVP to the Ladies’ Night event. 100 copies of the book the movie is based on will be given away to fans that purchase movie tickets on Facebook. The RSVPs include rewards for fans. If 2,000 RSVPs are reached, Gilt Groupe will give away 25 $25 Gift Certificates. If 5,000 RSVPs are reached, SpaFinder.com will giveaway 10% Off Gift Cards. And if 10,000 RSVPs are reached 7 For All Mankind will give away a 15% discount on a collection of clothes specifically chosen for this promotion.
Group rewards for RSVPs on Facebook have the possibility of being used for many events including movies, concerts, sporting events, pop-up stores, shopping events, grand openings, TV premiers, tournaments, book signings, etc.
