November 18, 2011 / By Melissa Buening

Editor’s Note: 8thBridge recently published the Social Commerce IQ: Fashion report which indexes and ranks the top 200 fashion brands based on their use of social media to drive business results. This case study is included in the report which can be downloaded here.

Why ShoeDazzle Had the Highest IQ

ShoeDazzle had the highest Social Commerce IQ because it has a large group of engaged followers on several social media websites. The brand’s following on Facebook is 1.5 million strong. It interacts with these fans by posting more than 3 times per day. ShoeDazzle’s status updates that are related to shopping (sales and it’s product) receive 65% more Likes and comments than status updates that are not related to shopping (based on data collected for the month of September). On Twitter, ShoeDazzle has 48,461 followers and tweets more than 4 times per day.

Facebook Integration on Website

Because ShoeDazzle integrated Facebook on it’s website, it’s customers are able to Like, share, and recommend products to their friends on Facebook. Additionally, they can add products to their favorites and share those with their friends on Facebook.
